O ensino de solos na geografia da educação básica no estado de São Paulo e algumas experiências no município de Ourinhos/SP

In the setting of contemporary political, economical, educational and environmental changes; the teaching of soils in Geography has an important paper in analyses and understanding the landscape transformations. In this regard, the aim of this study is to analyze the occurrence, importance of the topic, consistency of the concepts and activities relevant to the teaching of soils in the proposed curriculum of the State of Sao Paulo (2008), based on the National Curricular Parameters of Geography (2000), and in educational books to Elementary and High School. Furthermore, a sampling questionnaire was applied at eleven Geography teachers of six public schools to identify how the teaching of soils has been worked. This way, after the historical survey about public education politician, the study of contemporary curricular proposals, and the views of teachers opinions, it was found that the soils theme is not broached enough at the books of the proposed curriculum of the State of Sao Paulo and at the educational books which were analyzed although the teachers consider this very important in Geography. Finally, some didactic resources were developed and applied with seventy students to subsidize the teaching of soils with practical and efficient ideas and educational materials.
