Resumo: In this paper, we analyzed initially legal documents as the LDB (Law of Directives and Basis for National Education) and PCN (National Curricular Parameters) to justify the importance of working theme. The use of experimental devices in educational activities has an important role in the teaching- learning process of physical phenomena and understanding of phenomenological mechanisms that occur in nature. The objective of this study was to provide students the opportunity to build a sundial, an indigenous type, to help them understand better some phenomena and astronomical concepts such as the laws of planetary motion, the location of points on Earth and sphere heavenly, and some ephemeris as solstice, equinox and the seasons, besides allowinga better understanding of the historical aspects related to scientific and technological development of devices of location anddating. He devoted a chapter of this dissertation to explain the science of Sundial from the historical aspects, especially the Indigenous Clock to the modern science of GPS, through sun physics, the Kepler´s laws of planetary motion and also by geographic coordinates, and all the concepts and ephemeris inherent to the study and understanding of the construction operation and applicability of the Sundial. After that, in our theoretical basis, we made a compilation of the article called Crisis in Science Education by Gerard Fourez, with the analysis of the actors involved in the crisis and the controversies linked to it. In the methodology was described the didactics sequence in the construction of an Indian type sundial by some high school students. In the results and discussions about the subject, it was presented and analyzed the percentage of answers given by the students to a questionnaire about contents concerning the topic searched. It was also analyzed the influence of didactic intervention over these percentages, thus giving subsidies to our final considerations. As a final result, this work presents a two-part product: number one, a primer that will help students build a sundial workshop, and number two, a CD with some slides, which will help the teacher in exposure content and orientation of students. A product, which will certainly contribute to improving the teaching of Physics and Astronomy in Brazil.

O uso de aparatos experimentais nas atividades educacionais possui um importante papel no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de fenômenos físicos e na compreensão de mecanismos fenomenológico que ocorrem na natureza. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi proporcionar aos estudantes a oportunidade de construir um relógio de sol, do tipo indígena, que os ajudem a compreender melhor alguns fenômenos e conceitos astronômicos tais como, as leis do movimento planetário, a localização de pontos na Terra e na esfera celeste, e algumas efemérides como solstício, equinócio e as estações do ano, além de permitir uma melhor compreensão dos aspectos históricos relacionados ao desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico de aparatos de localização e datação. Dedicou-se um capítulo desta dissertação para explicar a ciência do Relógio de Sol, desde os aspectos históricos, com destaque para o Relógio Indígena, até à ciência moderna do GPS, passando pela física do sol, pelas leis do movimento planetário de Kepler, pelas coordenadas geográficas e por todos os conceitos e efemérides inerentes ao estudo e compreensão da construção, funcionamento e aplicabilidade do Relógio de Sol. Em seguida, em nossas bases teóricas, foi feita uma compilação do artigo Crise no Ensino de Ciências, de Gerard Fourez, com a análise dos atores envolvidos à referida crise e das controvérsias ligadas a ela. Na metodologia foi descrita a sequência didática da construção de um relógio de sol, do tipo indígena, por alguns estudantes do ensino médio. Nos resultados e discussões foi apresentado e analisado o percentual das respostas dadas pelos estudantes a um questionário sobre conteúdos concernentes ao tema pesquisado. Foi analisada também a influência que a intervenção didática teve sobre estes percentuais, dando assim subsídios para as nossas considerações finais. Como resultado final, este trabalho apresenta um produto composto de duas partes: número um, uma cartilha, que auxiliará os alunos a construírem a oficina de relógio de sol, e número dois, um CD com alguns slides, que auxiliará o professor na exposição do conteúdo e na orientação dos estudantes.
