The holistic Knowledge Management: adherence analysis of the Tuamsuk, Phabu and Vongprasert (2013) model

Resumo: The holistic paradigm is recurrently pointed out as an approach to be used for the development of Knowledge Management models, aiming to contemplate knowledge in its entirety in the organizational scope. Given this need, this research aims to analyze the adherence of the model of Tuamsuk, Phabu and Vongprasert (2013) to holistic Knowledge Management. By means of mixed methodological procedures, using qualitative-quantitative approaches and the Content Analysis method, this model is examined. As a result, the Tuamsuk, Phabu and Vongprasert (2013) model partially embraces the dimensions of holistic Knowledge Management. This allows to infer that there is a need for the development of new models that consider all the aspects expressed in this research, because these are critical to the success of a holistic knowledge management. This research contributes to evidence a method for analyzing models of this nature, allowing other researchers to do so in order to reveal a more blunt view of how Knowledge Management positions itself in front of the holistic paradigm. Thus, the analysis of other models, following the methodological procedures used here, is a suggestion for future research.

Diante desta necessidade, esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a aderência do modelo de Tuamsuk, Phabu e Vongprasert (2013) a Gestão do Conhecimento holística. Por meio de procedimentos metodológicos mistos, valendo-se de abordagens qualitativas-quantitativas e do método de Análise de Conteúdo, o referido modelo é examinado. Por resultado, o modelo de Tuamsuk, Phabu e Vongprasert (2013) adere parcialmente as dimensões da Gestão do Conhecimento holística. Isto permite inferir que há necessidade de desenvolvimento de novos modelos que considerem todas as vertentes expressas nesta pesquisa, pois estas são críticas para o sucesso de um gerenciamento do conhecimento holístico. Esta pesquisa contribui por evidenciar um método para análise de modelos desta natureza, permitindo que outros pesquisadores o façam de forma a revelar uma visão mais contundente de como a Gestão do Conhecimento se posiciona frente ao paradigma holístico. Assim, a análise de outros modelos, seguindo os procedimentos metodológicos aqui utilizados, é uma sugestão para pesquisas futuras.Universidade de São Paulo.
