Resumo: Considering the challenges related to inclusive education, this research analyzes the production of adapted materials aimed at teaching Chemistry and Science for blind and low vision students developed in a specialized service school through an extension project of a Brazilian university trying to relate them to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The purpose of this article is to promote interaction between heterogeneous groups, disseminate the proposal of the UDL and the development of alternative teaching and learning resources. In the analysis of the materials, it was possible to identify how many of them have characteristics of the UDL, even if indirectly, or rather, in what way they could fit into these properties. As a result, it was possible to identify similar characteristics between the productions and potential relationships between the principles of the UDL. It is concluded that, although the materials did not follow the approach on purpose, and although the approach is relatively new in the country, even so, the authors managed to develop properties of the three learning networks: affective, recognition and strategy, even if some are more detailed than others.
