Resumo: This article aims to analyze the constituent elements for the formation of teacher identity, and present results of research conducted with teachers in a Public School Network whose reports were collected through interviews, and suggest a link between different processes posed by reality. It can be noticed that the elements of the vocation, professionalization and instability, which contribute to identity formation are not exclusionary, but seems to be articulated in the processes of search for identity by teachers. The interviewees and the specialized bibliography still reinforce the idea that higher education will guarantee the group of teachers from the early years of elementary school the right tools to break the poor working conditions and the growing loss of autonomy, enhancing the appearance of professionalization.

O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar os elementos constitutivos para a formação da identidade docente, assim como apresentar resultados de pesquisa realizada com professores de uma Rede Pública de Ensino cujos relatos, coletados por meio de entrevistas, apontam para uma articulação entre diferentes processos postos pela realidade. É possível observar que os elementos da vocação, profissionalização e precarização, que concorrem para formação identitária, não são excludentes, mas se mostram articulados nos processos de busca de identidade por parte dos professores.
