The present monographic work has as its general objective to analyze the use of police testimony as the only evidence in drug trafficking crimes. For this purpose, the hypothetical-deductive approach method was used, due to the confrontation between the legislation, as well as the constitutional principles. Regarding the development of the work, the descriptive study was adopted in terms of level. The research technique used was the bibliographic model, carried out through doctrine, legislation, as well as judgments. As for the approach method used, it was qualitative, without any value judgment, and what is demonstrated is the fact based solely and exclusively on the data obtained during the research. Along the lines of the research, it is concluded that there is a jurisprudential conflict between the principles of the presumption of veracity and that of innocence, and the sentenced person must stick to this premise at the time of the judgment.
