Resumo: Environmental injustice is an inequality in the distribution of environmental impacts. To study this theme is to guarantee the best living conditions for future generations. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the environmental injustice in the context of social and racial construction in Brazil. Because of the history of black community in Brazilian society, which today constitutes a reality of social vulnerability, it is necessary to understand the debate of environmental injustices in this perspective. The methodology of this publication is basic nature, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The objectives are explanatory through a bibliographical and documental technical procedure. Thus, we can consider that Brazil faces a reality of structural racism provoked by a myth of racial democracy that silences the image of the black people in social discussions, in this study, addressing a question of environmental injustice, which can also be considered as a form of environmental racism

Estudar essa temática é garantir melhores condições de vida para as futuras gerações. Posto isto, o intuito deste trabalho é analisar a injustiça ambiental no contexto da construção social e racial no Brasil. Tendo em vista a história da população negra na sociedade brasileira que constitui hoje uma realidade de vulnerabilidade social, faz-se necessário entender o debate de injustiças ambientais nesta perspectiva. A metodologia desta pesquisa é de natureza básica com uma abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. Seus objetivos são explicativos por meio de procedimentos técnicos bibliográficos e documentais.
