Bibliometric balance of scientific literature in Physical Education and Special Education originating from theses and dissertations

Resumo: This article has the purpose of presenting part of the results of a research that verified the configuration of scientific production derived from dissertations and thesis in the interface between Physical Education and Special Education, consolidated in goods, books and chapters of books. The obtained results showed that 58% of the publications generated by the dissertations and thesis were published under the form of articles, followed by chapters (29%) and books (13%), confirming what the reference literature indicates, that the publication channel most used by researchers to divulge their works is the publication of articles in scientific journals. Such findings also indicated that the act of publishing is taking other dimensions, and the current model for the evaluation of graduate programs conducted by CAPES possesses well-known influence in the process that orientates the production of the knowledge.
