A curricular renovation well beyond the curriculum

Resumo: This paper discusses the proposal for diversifying the Secretary of Education of São Paulo's Secondary School curriculum, a proposal aimed at making the secondary school curriculum more flexible without impairing the general education to which all students are entitled. To support discussions on the new curriculum, the Office of the Secretary developed two complementary initiatives: a wide-ranging survey of current documents on file and of education techniques and a process of consulting schools and teachers, to identify, systematize and, later on, disclose good classroom and school management practices.
