Resumo: | The aim of this research is to evaluate some aspects of the Pedagogy Course of the Faculty of Education (FACED) of the Federal University of Ceara (UFC) which endangers the quality of education. At that moment, we focus on the following: adequacy of the physical installations; informatics equipments and audiovisual resources as well as teachers' involvement in the teaching-learning process. For so, it was used the sample composed by 124 university students of the UFC Pedagogy course, at the average of 26,8 years of age (Standard deviation = 7.05 years), of which 96 were female (77,2%) and 83 from the night course (66,9%). We observed that 32 of the interviewed students (25, 7%) had enrolled in 1999.2, and were conscious of the aspects that compose the evaluated reality for at least, four years. The main results pointed out the existence of the following kinds of problems:1) structural: inadequacy of the physical installations at the FACED; and 2) conjuncture: (a) safety inadequacy at the FACED, (b) maintenance inadequacy of the audiovisual and informatics equipments, (c) inadequacy of the teachers' involvement in some academic activities, (d) inadequacy of attendance given from the coordination of graduation to the students staff, (e) inadequacy of optional discipline (f) inadequacy of the internet registering system and finally, (g) loss of the evening course of Pedagogy prestige. |

Enfocamos, en la ocasion, los siguientes: adecuacion de las instalaciones fisicas; adecuacion de los equipamientos de informatica y de los recursos audiovisuales; participacion de los docentes en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Para tal, fue utilizada una muestra compuesta por 124 universitarios del curso de Pedagogia de la UFC, con edad media de 26,8 años (desviacion-tipica = 7,05 años), siendo 96 del genero femenino (77,2%) y 83 del curso nocturno (66,9%). Cuanto al semestre de entrada en el curso, observamos que 32 de los entrevistados (25,7%) empezaron sus estudios en el periodo 1999.2, teniendo, por lo tanto, conocimientos sobre los aspectos componentes de la realidad evaluada hace, por lo menos, cuatro años. Los principales resultados dan cuenta de la existencia de las siguientes clases de problemas: 1) estructurales: inadecuacion de las instalaciones fisicas de la FACED; y 2) situacionales: (a) inadecuacion de la seguridad de la FACED, (b) inadecuacion de la manutencion y de los propios equipamientos de informatica y audiovisuales, (c) bajo del grado de participacion docente en algunas actividades academicas, (d) inadecuacion de la atencion proporcionada por los funcionarios de la Coordinacion de la Graduacion al cuerpo discente, (e) inadecuacion de la oferta de disciplinas optativa, (f) inadecuacion de la sistematica de la matricula via Internet y, finalmente (f) el desprestigio del curso nocturno de Pedagogia.Objetivamos avaliar alguns aspectos do curso de Pedagogia, da Faculdade de Educação (FACED) da Universidade Federal do Ceara (UFC), que comprometem a qualidade educacional. Enfocamos, na ocasiao, o seguinte: adequação das instalacoes fisicas; adequação dos equipamentos de informatica e recursos audiovisuais; envolvimento docente no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Para tal, foi utilizada amostra composta por 124 universitarios do curso de Pedagogia da UFC, com idade media de 26,8 anos (desvio-padrao = 7,05 anos), sendo 96 do genero feminino (77,2%) e 83 do curso noturno (66,9%). Quanto ao semestre de entrada no curso, observamos que 32 dos entrevistados (25,7%) iniciaram seus estudos no periodo 1999.2, tendo, portanto, conhecimento sobre os aspectos componentes da realidade avaliada ha, pelo menos, quatro anos.
