Conceptions of early childhood educations teachers and their implications for the teaching activity

Resumo: | The text aims to analyze the teachers' conceptions of an early childhood education school and their implications for the organization of the teaching activity. The research is based on the principles of Cultural-Historical Psychology and was developed in an early childhood education school in Porto Velho, Rondônia. The data were produced through three conversation rounds, in which seven teachers. The results indicate that the teachers attribute to early childhood education and to their own performance the function of monitoring and stimulating the development of children. This concludes that investments are needed in teacher training, and it also points out the need for transformations in the objective conditions of educational processes normatization, in order to ensure changes in the children's schooling in Brazilian public schools. |

A pesquisa sustenta-se nos pressupostos da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural e foi desenvolvida em uma escola no município de Porto Velho/RO. Os dados foram produzidos por meio da realização de três rodas de conversa, das quais participaram sete docentes. Os resultados indicam que as docentes atribuem à educação infantil e à própria atuação a função de acompanhar e estimular o desenvolvimento das crianças.
