SCHOOL ARCHIVES AND DIGITAL COLLECTIONS IN THE BRAZILIAN NORTHEAST: : limits and possibilities

Resumo: | The article deals with the importance of school archives for the history of education. These, used appropriately and made available on websites, repositories, memory centers, etc., constitute an inexhaustible source of research at a regional, national and international level. In this article, we present the cleaning, digitization and cataloging work carried out by postgraduate students, linked to the Group of Studies and Research in History and Education in the Sertão do São Francisco – Gephesf and to the Postgraduate Programs in the area of Education. University of Pernambuco, Campus Petrolina and Mata Norte. This work constitutes one of the requirements of the professional master's course that, in addition to the dissertation, a product must be presented. At this stage, digital collections from school institutions in the states of Pernambuco, Bahia and Piauí have been organized. Regarding methodology, the work brings together digital collections from gymnasiums and multipurpose schools between the 1940s and 1970s, with emphasis on the survey carried out at the Emídio Cavalcanti de Albuquerque Polyvalent School, located in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, on the coast of Pernambuco. We are interested in understanding how the conservation and/or preservation process has affected/modified the school community's view of the importance of preserving the school's history and memory. The text dialogues with the studies of Souza (2014); Furtado (2011); Santos (2015); Macedo & Goellner (2018). |

Éstos, utilizados adecuadamente y puestos a disposición en sitios web, repositorios, centros de memoria, etc., constituyen una fuente inagotable de investigación a nivel regional, nacional e internacional. En este artículo presentamos los trabajos de limpieza, digitalización y catalogación realizados por estudiantes de posgrado, vinculados al Grupo de Estudios e Investigación en Historia y Educación del Sertão do São Francisco – Gephesf y a los Programas de Posgrado en el área de Educación Universidad de Pernambuco, Campus Petrolina y Mata Norte. Este trabajo constituye uno de los requisitos de la maestría profesional que, además de la disertación, debe presentar un producto. En esta etapa se organizaron colecciones digitales de instituciones escolares de los estados de Pernambuco, Bahía y Piauí. En cuanto a la metodología, el trabajo reúne colecciones digitales de gimnasios y escuelas polivalentes entre las décadas de 1940 y 1970, con énfasis en la encuesta realizada en la Escuela Polivalente Emídio Cavalcanti de Albuquerque, ubicada en Cabo de Santo Agostinho, en la costa de Pernambuco. Nos interesa comprender cómo el proceso de conservación y/o preservación ha afectado/modificado la visión de la comunidad escolar sobre la importancia de preservar la historia y la memoria del colegio. El texto dialoga con los estudios de Souza (2014); Furtado (2011); Santos (2015); Macedo y Goellner (2018).L'article traite de l'importance des archives scolaires pour l'histoire de l'éducation. Ceux-ci, utilisés à bon escient et mis à disposition sur des sites Internet, des référentiels, des centres de mémoire, etc., constituent une source inépuisable de recherche aux niveaux régional, national et international. Dans cet article, nous présentons le travail de nettoyage, de numérisation et de catalogage réalisé par les étudiants de troisième cycle, liés au Groupe d'études et de recherche en histoire et éducation du Sertão do São Francisco – Gephesf et aux programmes de troisième cycle dans le domaine de Éducation : Université de Pernambuco, Campus Petrolina et Mata Norte. Ce travail constitue l'une des exigences du cursus de master professionnel selon lequel, en plus du mémoire, un produit doit être présenté. À ce stade, des collections numériques provenant d'institutions scolaires des États de Pernambuco, Bahia et Piauí ont été organisées. En ce qui concerne la méthodologie, l'ouvrage rassemble des collections numériques de gymnases et d'écoles polyvalentes entre les années 1940 et 1970, en mettant l'accent sur l'enquête réalisée à l'école polyvalente Emídio Cavalcanti de Albuquerque, située à Cabo de Santo Agostinho, sur la côte de Pernambuco. Nous souhaitons comprendre comment le processus de conservation et/ou de préservation a affecté/modifié la vision de la communauté scolaire sur l'importance de préserver l'histoire et la mémoire de l'école. Neste artigo, apresentamos o trabalho de higienização, digitalização e catalogação realizados por estudantes de pós-graduação, vinculados ao Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em História e Educação no Sertão do São Francisco – Gephesf e aos Programas de Pós-Graduação na área da Educação da Universidade de Pernambuco, Campus Petrolina e Mata Norte. Este trabalho constitui uma das determinações do curso de mestrado profissional que além da dissertação, deve-se apresentar um produto. Nesta etapa, tem-se organizado acervos digitais de instituições escolares dos Estados de Pernambuco, Bahia e Piauí. Em relação à metodologia, o trabalho reúne acervos digitais de ginásios e escolas polivalentes entre os 1940 e 1970, com destaque para o levantamento realizado na Escola Polivalente Emídio Cavalcanti de Albuquerque, localizada no Cabo de Santo Agostinho, litoral pernambucano. Interessa-nos compreender como o processo de conservação e/ou preservação tem afetado/modificado a visão da comunidade escolar sobre a importância de preservação da história e memória da escola.
