Ensaio de uma ontologia para modelo de negócio do tipo plataforma digital: um estudo de caso

In order to understand 'digital platform' business models and the use of ontologies to organize the information and knowledge generated in these businesses, three Systematic Literature Reviews were carried out, highlighting research opportunities based on structured approaches for these models. As a main objective, we sought to present an initial proposal, based on a “pilot project”, for the application of ontology in a business model of the 'digital platform' type for obtaining, organizing and sharing data and information generated through of your processes. The Ontology Development Methodology 101 (NOY & McGUINNESS, 2001) was used as a research framework. The results demonstrate the applicability of the proposed ontology as a structure capable of better representing knowledge in the chosen domain, allowing the development of a preliminary conceptual framework that establishes the relationship between different types of data in business models of the 'digital platform' type with the possibility to pass through different systems promoting interoperability. This study is justified, (i) from a theoretical-academic point of view, as an opportunity for Information Science to broaden its horizons on this topic, and (ii) from an organizational point of view, as it enables conditions for the subsequent emergence of a visual, dedicated, more accessible interface on decisions and performance of digital platform-type business models.
