ADAPTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION: A DISTANT REALITY IN THE CONTINUING EDUCATION OF TEACHERS

Resumo: Courses aimed at continuing education, in school physical education, have a lower offer when compared to the areas of physical preparation. When it comes to special physical education, this number is even lower. In order to verify the repercussion of this scenario, the objective of the present study is to analyze the characteristics of the continuing education of teachers of the basic education network in the city of Rio de Janeiro, especially the knowledge about teaching for PCDs. A structured questionnaire was applied that allowed to carry out a mapping of the continuing education of teachers who work in basic education in the city. Among the results, it was found that 27.3% of the sample had post graduate courses in the school area and only 6.8% in the area of adapted physical education. The data reveal the need to rethink the supply and demand strategies for specialization courses, especially for the care of PWDs at school.

Cuando se trata de Educación Física especial, este número es aún más bajo. Para verificar la repercusión de este escenario, el objetivo del presente estudio es analizar las características de la formación permanente de los docentes de lared de educación básica en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, especialmente el conocimiento sobre la enseñanza de los PCD. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado que permitió realizar un mapeo de la formación continua de los docentes que se desempeñan en la educación básica de la ciudad. Entre los resultados se encontró que el 27,3% de la muestra contaba con pos gradosen el área escolar y solo el 6,8% en el área de Educación Física adaptada. Los datos revelan la necesidad de repensar las estrategias de oferta y demanda de cursos de especialización, especialmente para la atención de las PCD en la escuela.Cursos voltados à educação continuada, na Educação Física escolar, apresentam menor oferta quando comparados às áreas de preparação física. Quando se trata da Educação Física Especial, este número é ainda menor. A fim de verificar a repercussão deste cenário, o objetivo do presente estudo é analisar as características da formação continuada de professores da rede básica de ensino na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, em especial ao conhecimento sobre a docência para PCDs. Foi aplicado questionário estruturado, que permitiu realizar um mapeamento da formação continuada de professores que atuam na Educação Básica na cidade. Dentre os resultados, verificou-se que 27,3% da amostra detinham cursos de pós-graduação na área escolar e apenas 6,8% na área de Educação Física adaptada.
