TEACHING GENETIC IN A PLAYFUL WAY: UTILIZING GAME BOARD FOR STUDENTS OF THIRD YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL

Resumo: The Genetics teaching is considered, many times, complex by traditional form like is treated – memorization and transmission of knowledges, striking methods on the traditional teaching. This work presents a playful alternative for Genetic teaching for students of third year of high school in a Municipal school of Sorriso city, Mato Grosso State, utilizing a board game called “Genetics’ Ludo”, created by authors and based in a older Indian game called “Pachisi”. In this methodology, the students learn playing and relate de content in a more curious and fun way, besides to develop the fair play. The survey brings qualitative and quantitative elements, using as instrument of data collection two structure questionnaires applied pre and post games for 98 students players. The results show that the game was approved by teacher and students, considering the indexes obtaining in the answers before and after the games’ application. The game has favored the acquisition and internalization of knowledge, besides to promote the laser and happiness of the students. Playful learning materials are fundamental tools to the teaching learning process, considering that they enrich and strengthen the pedagogical act.

Este trabalho apresenta alternativa lúdica ao ensino de Genética para alunos do 3º ano ensino médio de uma escola estadual do município de Sorriso, estado de Mato Grosso, por meio da utilização de um jogo de tabuleiro intitulado “Ludo da Genética”, criado pelos autores e baseado no antigo jogo indiano de ludo Pachisi. Nessa metodologia, o aluno aprende com diversão e relaciona o conteúdo de forma mais curiosa e agradável, além de desenvolver o espírito esportivo saudavelmente. A pesquisa reúne elementos quali-quantitativos, utilizando como instrumento de coleta de dados, dois questionários semiestruturados, aplicados pré e pós jogo aos 98 alunos partícipes da proposta. Os resultados mostraram que o jogo teve boa aceitação pelo professor da disciplina e pelos alunos que o jogaram, considerando os índices de acertos obtidos nas respostas antes e após a aplicação do jogo.
