Continuing education of teachers "in" and "to" work: issues and reflections from the critical theory of society

Resumo: | This essay reflects upon the need for continuing teacher training an agreed-upon subject within the academic conversation and policy formulation. Some considerations are pursued in the literature regarding the teacher education that occurs in and to work; subsequently, the notion of a training that is based on the theory of society is proposed, specifically from Theodor Adorno’s constructions. It is emphasized that teacher training as presented is a pseudo-formative experience, since it has in its genesis a heteronomic sense, which keeps the subjects from an education in its wider sense. |

Se buscó en la literatura algunas ponderaciones sobre la formación docente en el trabajo y para el trabajo, para luego proponer la noción de formación con base en la teoría crítica de la sociedad, específicamente en las formulaciones de Theodor Adorno. Se destacó que la formación docente, tal como viene ocurriendo, es pseudoformación, uma vez que tiene en su génesis un sentido heteronómico, imposibilitando a los sujetos la formación en su sentido lato.O presente artigo reflete sobre a necessidade de formação continuada de professores – tema consensual nos debates acadêmicos e nas formulações políticas. Buscou-se na literatura algumas ponderações sobre a formação docente no e para o trabalho, para, em seguida, propor a noção de formação com base na teoria crítica da sociedade, especificamente nas formulações de Theodor Adorno. Destacou-se que a formação docente, tal como vem ocorrendo, é pseudoformação, uma vez que tem em sua gênese um sentido heteronômico, impossibilitando aos sujeitos a formação em seu sentido lato.
