Resumo: | This research was motivated by the dissemination of initiatives directed toward the management of the knowledge in the business environment, as the Corporative Universities (UC), considered an evolution of the traditional area of Training & Development. However, is questioned if these Universities offer for its participants subsidies to reflect, to criticize, to create, to act, all actions inserted in the scope of the education or if, in contrast, they choice for the indoctrination. It was this critical questioning that motivated this study, supported by bibliographical and field researches. The field research was made in a Brazilian UC, with the participation of 103 employees of the company. The data had been collected by questionnaire based in the theories of indoctrination of Ivan Snook and Olivier Reboul. The results showed that the searched UC has little indoctrination characteristics. This circumstance opposes the initial assumption of the study, however it shows others to its end: a) in this UC the indoctrination does not predominate and the fact to be opened for the research already affirms it; b) being a UC of the public sector, the indoctrination does not exist, as much as exist in a private company; c) the searched UC has doctrinal character, however in the age of the knowledge the indoctrination forms are subtle; not rare the indoctrinated do not perceive them. We suppose that other studies will be able to help to confirm or not these assumptions. |

CORPORATE UNIVERSITIES: EDUCATION OR INDOCTINATION?Universidades corporativas: educação ou doutrinação?This research was motivated by the dissemination of initiatives directed toward the management of the knowledge in the business environment, as the Corporative Universities (UC), considered an evolution of the traditional area of Training & Development. We suppose that other studies will be able to help to confirm or not these assumptions.
