Resumo: The main aim of this study is to reflect on the manner in which nursery school teachers treat sexuality, as well as on how they react to themes related to sexuality. The study was carried out on public and private school teachers from various cities in the State of Sao Paulo. Open enterviews were conducted and analyzed from the psychoanalytic perspective. Our work clearly demonstrates that the sexuality inscriptions impressed on our subjects throughout their lives determines to a great extent the way in which they react to the questions the children raised on sexuality. ln fact, teachers didn't know and reflect on their own sexuality representations, that were built during their own life. As result of this, the teachers were unable to give to the students clarifications as well as allow them reflect on the theme and develop knowledge of themselves. This leads us to think that both students and teachers would benefit if these teachers participated in more than informative courses. The teachers should be given an opportunity to reflect on their individualities, repetitions, and performances.

O estudo foi realizado com professores de pré-escolas de instituições de ensino público e privado, de cidades do Estado de São Paulo. Foram feitas entrevistas abertas, analisadas à luz da Psicanálise. Os resultados evidenciam relações entre a inscrição da sexualidade dos professores e a maneira como reagem às questões relativas a este tema. O fato dos professores desconhecerem e não refletirem sobre as próprias representações da sexualidade, estas construídas ao longo de suas histórias de vida, resultou em práticas que não propiciaram aos alunos esclarecimentos, reflexão e algum conhecimento sobre si.
