Resumo: | This paper deals with Early Childhood Education, the first stage of Basic Education, and its trajectory in the National Book and Didactic Material Program (Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático – PNLD). The objective was to analyze the contributions of this important public policy to the field of the right to Early Childhood Education, and, consequently, to the field of teacher training, bringing considerations about the first call notices for the analysis of teaching materials for the PNLD 2019 – Notices no. 01/2017 and no. 01/2019 – and their material and training contributions for the professionals of the education area. In addition, a reflection on the use of textbooks at this stage and the setbacks of the Notice no. 02/2020 for the PNLD 2022, which, in line with the National Literacy Policy (Política Nacional de Alfabetização – PNA), of 2019, and without dialogue with the Early Childhood Education and Initial reading instruction/Literacy, it imposes the removal of children’s rights and teaching autonomy. It is concluded that the Notice no. 02/2020 is not in line with the provisions of the legal documents that, historically, are part of the composition of the principles and specificities of the Brazilian Early Childhood Education curriculum. |

El objetivo fue analizar los aportes de esta importante política pública para el campo del derecho a la Educación Infantil, y consecuentemente, para el campo de la formación docente, trayendo consideraciones sobre las primeras convocatorias para el análisis de materiales didácticos para el PNLD 2019 (Editales Nº 01/2017 y Nº 01/2019) y sus aportes materiales y de formación a los profesionales de educación. Además de eso, se aborda una reflexión sobre el uso de los libros didácticos en esta etapa y los retrocesos del Edital Nº 02/2020 para el PNLD 2022, que, en línea con la Política Nacional de Alfabetización (PNA), de 2019, y sin diálogo con la Educación Infantil y la Alfabetización, impone la retirada de derechos infantiles y de la autonomía docente. Se concluye que el Edital Nº 02/2020 no está en consonancia con las disposiciones de los documentos legales que, históricamente, forman parte de la composición de los principios y de las especificidades del currículo de la Educación Infantil brasileña.Este artigo versa sobre a Educação Infantil, primeira etapa da Educação Básica, e sua trajetória no Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD). O objetivo foi analisar as contribuições dessa importante política pública para o campo do direito à Educação Infantil, e, consequentemente, para o campo da formação docente, trazendo considerações sobre os primeiros editais de convocação para análise de materiais didáticos para o PNLD 2019 – Editais Nº 01/2017 e Nº 01/2019 – e seus aportes materiais e formativos para os profissionais de educação. Para além disso, aborda-se uma reflexão sobre o uso de livros didáticos nessa etapa e os retrocessos do Edital Nº 02/2020 para o PNLD 2022, o qual, alinhado à Política Nacional de Alfabetização (PNA), de 2019, e sem diálogo com a Educação Infantil e a alfabetização, impõe a retirada dos direitos infantis e da autonomia docente. Conclui-se que o Edital Nº 02/2020 não está em consonância com os dispostos nos documentos legais que, historicamente, fazem parte da composição dos princípios e das especificidades do currículo da Educação Infantil brasileira.
