Resumo: The first objective of the study is to distinguish the traditional models of judicial review, to allow the comparison between them, as well as the definition of the contours and specificities of the Brazilian system. Then, it is necessary to analyze the extraordinary appeal and the Brazilian certiorari, with their background in foreign law, with particular focus on tax issues. Furthermore, it seeks to identify the legal species of third party intervention, checking their harmony with the Brazilian Certiorari, always as a contribution to the debate and not to exhaust it

Em seguida, pretende-se analisar detalhadamente a figura do recurso extraordinário e o instituto da repercussão geral das questões constitucionais, inclusive em comparação ao direito estrangeiro, com especial enfoque às questões tributárias.
