Modalidade oral no livro didático: os saberes a serem ensinados nas aulas de língua portuguesa

This work carried out in the Postgraduate Studies Program of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo is dedicated to exam the knowledge to be taught contained in Portuguese language textbooks in conjunction with the oral modality of the language and social practices, considering the relevance of the study of spoken language and conversational processes in the teaching of the mother tongue. It is a fact that orality has its place and role in school, but not yet in the same proportion given to the writing, so we justify the attention we give, mainly, not only on the practices of spoken or written language, but to expand the study and effective teaching of the spoken language, as well as for transformations and action in the classroom. This study has as its general objective the purpose of producing observations, reflections, information and knowledge about the oral modality as a study, teaching and learning, and to contribute to actions and transformations that lead to a perspective of a broader linguistic formation and to the strengthening of the autonomy and of the student's discursive competence. The specific objectives emerge in the examination of the treatment given to the oral modality of the language in Portuguese language textbooks, the guidelines that the authors give to the teachers, the activities proposed to the students and the skills selected and listed in the set of the orality axis. To this end, this work is based on the theoretical apparatus of Conversation Analysis, on the guidelines contained in the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC, 2017) and on the articulation between the PCN (1997) and other official documents. The bibliographic research was done by examining and analyzing of four PNLD 2020 textbook collections. The expectation of finding greater emphasis on oral treatment was one of the positive aspects examined. However, there is still much to be done to promote it, from oral language practices to teaching objects such as grammar, literature and writing
