Tradução de músicas de animações da Disney: uma análise comparativa

Cinema is one of the cultural environments in which we can find a multitude of cinematic genres, among them, there are animated movies. This work aims to examine differences in translations and dubbing in songs from two animations. The lyrics that constitute the corpus of research are: “Un Poco Loco”, from the film Coco e “Into the Unknown”, and from the movie Frozen 2. The analyses are based on the comparison of the original language, English, with the other two, Portuguese and Korean. The main questions presented deal with how translators made the choices of terms and words, what cultural aspects were applied, and how the translation affected dubbing. The theoretical foundation is based on Silva's (2018) work on the aspects of dubbing and lip synchronization, and on the works of Beatriz Gregório dos Santos (2020) and Viviane Alves de Melo Almada (2017) for the comparison of the lyrics of the songs. Through this work, it was possible to observe adaptations influenced by culture and dubbing, as well as to learn translational changes and their consequences for different cultures
