The construction of the scientific concepts of extinction, environmental degradation and symmetry by scholars of Scientific Junior Initiation

Resumo: This is a qualitative research, with the aim of analyzing the concepts that students, scientific-Jr initiation grantees built on its thematic research. The study was developed under the Social Program of Education, Vocation and Science Education in Bahia, the Federal University of Bahia, with 5 Ic-Jr fellows, but for this article, we selected three of these, because the issues are associated with content biology. The activities developed by the project team that were recorded in video, audio and written records, which constituted a database. From this database, we selected episodes and written records to analyze the construction of concepts by students. We seek to Vygotsky, as a reference to analyze our data. The concepts of students in the early activities of direction for the project and for the preparation of the experiment, the daily. These concepts propelled the development of scientific concepts. Students were able to describe and explain the phenomenon and its consequences in some spheres. They managed to build the scientific concepts of environmental degradation, extinction and symmetry facilitated the discussions, readings and reflections.

El estudio fue desarrollado en el marco del Programa Social de Educación, Ciencia Vocación y Educación en Bahía, de la Universidad Federal de Bahía, con 5 estudiantes cientificos -Jr, pero para este artículo, se seleccionaron tres de ellos, porque las invest iaciones están asociados con el contenido de biología. Las actividades desarrolladas por el equipo de proyecto que se registraron en vídeo, audio y archivos escritos, constituyen una base de datos. A partir de esta base de datos, se seleccionaron los episodios y los registros escritos para analizar la construcción de los conceptos por los estudiantes. Tomamos a Vygotsky, como referencia para analizar nuestros datos. Los conceptos de los estudiantes en las primeras actividades de dirección para el proyecto y para la preparación del experimento, fueron el diario. Estos conceptos propulsaron el desarrollo de los conceptos científicos. Los estudiantes fueron capaces de describir y explicar el fenómeno y sus consecuencias en algunos ámbitos. Se las arreglaron para construir los conceptos científicos de la degradación ambiental, la extinción y la simetría facilitados por las discusiones, lecturas y reflexiones.Esta é uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, com o objetivo de analisar os conceitos que estudantes, bolsistas de iniciação científica-Jr, construíram sobre as suas temáticas de pesquisa. O estudo foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Programa Social de Educação, Vocação e Educação Científica na Bahia, da Universidade Federal da Bahia, com 5 bolsistas de Ic-Jr, mas, para esse artigo, selecionamos três destes, pois as temáticas estão associadas a conteúdos da biologia. As atividades desenvolvidas pela equipe do referido projeto foram registradas em vídeo, áudio e registros escritos, que constituíram um banco de dados. A partir deste banco de dados, selecionamos os episódios e registros escritos para analisarmos a construção de conceitos pelos estudantes. Buscamos em Vygotsky um referencial para analisar os nossos dados. Os conceitos dos estudantes, nas atividades iniciais de orientação para o projeto e para a elaboração do experimento, foram os cotidianos. Esses conceitos propulsionaram o desenvolvimento dos conceitos científicos. Os estudantes foram capazes de descrever e explicar o fenômeno e suas consequências em algumas esferas.
