Relations between science, technology and society in the discourses on socioenvironmental themes of science and biology teachers of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Resumo: The discussion of socioenvironmental themes in the teaching of Science and Biology should seek an approach of rupture with the traditional conception, behavioral, conservative and preservationist environment. We understand that, from a STS Education, the teacher provides the student’s contact with the environmental, complex and abstract knowledge, bringing reflections about the historical, social, political and economic components through contextualized analyzes. However, in developing his work, the teacher (re) produces discourses on the relationships between environment and society that guide the socio-environmental themes. Taking into account the importance of language, the present research was based on the theoretical-methodological reference of French Speech Analysis to discuss the relations between science, technology and society in the speeches of three professors of Sciences and Biology of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on social and environmental themes. We present analyzes of the qualitative and empirical research that was done from semistructured questionnaires. The results reveal, in a general way, that the constitution of the discourses on science, technology, society and environment are crossed by different meanings, established through certain conditions of production, associated to the academic formation strongly marked by the hegemonic character of science.

Entendemos que, a partir de una Educación CTS, el profesor propicia el contacto del estudiante con el conocimiento ambiental, complejo y abstracto, trayendo reflexiones acerca de los componentes históricos, sociales, políticos y económicos por medio de análisis contextualizados. Sin embargo, al desarrollar su trabajo, el profesor (re) produce discursos sobre las relaciones entre ambiente y sociedad que pautan las temáticas socioambientales. La presente investigación se apoyó en el referencial teórico-metodológico del Análisis de Discurso de vertiente francesa para discutir las relaciones entre ciencia, tecnología y sociedad en los discursos de tres profesores de Ciencias y Biología de la red estatal del Rio de Janeiro, Brasil sobre temáticas socioambientales. Presentamos análisis de la investigación cualitativa y empírica que se dio a partir de cuestionarios semiestructurados. Los resultados revelan, de forma general, que la constitución de los discursos sobre ciencia, tecnología, sociedad y ambiente son atravesados por diferentes sentidos, establecidos mediante determinadas condiciones de producción, asociados a la formación académica fuertemente marcada por el carácter hegemónico de la ciencia.A discussão de temáticas socioambientais no ensino de Ciências e Biologia deve buscar uma abordagem de ruptura com a concepção tradicional, comportamentalista, conservadora e preservacionista de ambiente. Entendemos que, a partir de uma Educação CTS, o professor propicia o contato do estudante com o conhecimento ambiental, complexo e abstrato, trazendo reflexões sobre os componentes históricos, sociais, políticos e econômicos por meio de análises contextualizadas. No entanto, ao desenvolver seu trabalho, o professor (re)produz discursos sobre as relações entre ambiente e sociedade que pautam as temáticas socioambientais. Levando em consideração a importância da linguagem, a presente pesquisa apoiou-se no referencial teórico-metodológico da Análise de Discurso de vertente francesa para discutir as relações entre ciência, tecnologia e sociedade nos discursos de três professores de Ciências e Biologia da rede estadual do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil sobre temáticas socioambientais. Apresentamos análises da investigação qualitativa e empírica que se deu a partir de questionários estruturados.
