Relations between retail market and distribution in LPG range: analyzing the cooperation and alliances

Resumo: This work aims to proceed with the evaluation of relationship between retail market and distribution in liquefied petroleum gas range (LPG), according to Network Theory. This is an exploratory research, with qualitative characteristic, about the dynamics of cooperation relations. The results, although could not be considered as conclusive, by reason of the study of only one case, shows that an alliance with relationship problems and competition, between point-of-sale and resale, probably will be dissolved as soon as the retailer become a reseller.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo proceder à avaliação das relações entre varejo e distribuição na cadeia do gás liquefeito de petróleo (GLP) com base nos pressupostos da Teoria das Redes. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, de natureza qualitativa, acerca da dinâmica das relações de cooperação. Os resultados, embora não possam ser considerados conclusivos, em razão do estudo de um único caso, indicam que uma aliança, com problemas de relacionamento e com competição, entre ponto de venda e revendedor, por conveniência, provavelmente irá ser desfeita assim que o varejista tiver condições de se tornar um revendedor.
