The use of social networks in learning

Resumo: Social networks have historically been considered spaces for socialization whose objective is focused on leisure and distraction, however today their use goes further and they have ventured into the educational context. Due to the above, it has been proposed as an objective of analysis to determine the pedagogical use that teachers and students give to social networks in their academic activities at Casa Grande University in the year 2021. For this, exploratory-descriptive research with quantitative approach, with the inquiry instrument being the questionnaire made up of 15 items assessed under a Likert scale. Thus, the results of the study showed that both students and educators make use of networks such as WhatsApp, Google +, Instagram and YouTube for academic activities such as the exchange of information, facilitating communication, uploading tasks, as well as to keep abreast of topics related to their formation.

Por lo expuesto se ha planteado como objetivo de análisis el determinar el uso pedagógico que docentes y estudiantes les dan a las redes sociales en sus actividades académicas en la Universidad Casa Grande en el año 2021. Para ello se ha propuesto una investigación exploratoria-descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo, siendo el instrumento de indagación el cuestionario conformado por 15 ítems valorados bajo escala de Likert. Así los resultados del estudio demostraron que tanto estudiantes como educadores hacen uso de redes como WhatsApp, Google +, Instagram y YouTube para actividades académicas como el intercambio de información, facilitar la comunicación, cargar tareas, así como para mantenerse al tanto de temas relativos a su formación.As redes sociais historicamente foram consideradas espaços de socialização cujo objetivo é voltado para o lazer e a distração, porém hoje seu uso vai além e se aventuram no contexto educacional. Diante do exposto, propôs-se como objetivo de análise determinar o uso pedagógico que professores e alunos dão às redes sociais em suas atividades acadêmicas na Universidade Casa Grande no ano de 2021. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva com abordagem, sendo o instrumento de investigação o questionário composto por 15 itens avaliados em escala Likert.
