The use of social networks in learning

Social networks have historically been considered spaces for socialization whose objective is focused on leisure and distraction, however today their use goes further and they have ventured into the educational context. Due to the above, it has been proposed as an objective of analysis to determine the pedagogical use that teachers and students give to social networks in their academic activities at Casa Grande University in the year 2021. For this, exploratory-descriptive research with quantitative approach, with the inquiry instrument being the questionnaire made up of 15 items assessed under a Likert scale. Thus, the results of the study showed that both students and educators make use of networks such as WhatsApp, Google +, Instagram and YouTube for academic activities such as the exchange of information, facilitating communication, uploading tasks, as well as to keep abreast of topics related to their formation.
