Management of educational innovation: a key piece to achieving educational quality

Resumo: | The objective of this study was to analyze the management of educational innovation as a key element to achieve educational quality based on an inquiry carried out in a teaching center in the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador. The methodology subscribed to the positivist-quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive transactional design, with documentary support. The sample was made up of 27 teachers. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire structured by dichotomous closed questions with answer alternatives (Yes or No) was used. The results show that: 88.89% considered that in the educational institution the directive management is NOT exercised from the guiding, promoting and accompanying perspective of the improvement of the educational act; 74.08% believe that the management of the educational institution does NOT promote educational innovation processes in an effort to achieve quality learning for students inside and outside the classroom; 100% said YES to the need to improve the educational quality that is taught in the educational institution; 96.30% stated that YES, the management of educational innovation is a key element to achieve educational quality; 70.37% answered that training is NOT offered to teachers on innovative teaching-learning methods to achieve educational quality; 100% said YES they are willing to get involved in the innovation management processes of educational quality in the institution to achieve quality in the teaching-learning process of the students. It is concluded that educational quality is only possible if a true and profound change is made in teaching-learning practices and this work involves the management of school innovation understood as a permanent practice over time, with an eye on increasingly improve the learning processes of students that allow them to function successfully in a dynamic, rapidly changing and globalized environment. |

La metodología se suscribió al enfoque positivista-cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental, transeccional descriptivo, con un apoyo documental. La muestra quedó conformada por 27 docentes. Como instrumento de recolección de datos se usó un cuestionario estructurado por preguntas cerradas dicotómicas con alternativas de respuesta (Si o No). Los resultados arrojan que: el 88,89% consideró que en la institución educativa la gestión directiva NO se ejerce bajo la óptica orientadora, promotora y de acompañamiento del mejoramiento del acto educativo; el 74.08% considero que la gestión de la institución educativa NO promueve los procesos de innovación educativa en procura de lograr el aprendizaje de calidad de los educandos dentro y fuera del aula; el 100% dijo SI a la necesidad de mejorar la calidad educativa que se imparte en la institución educativa; el 96,30%, manifestó que SI, la gestión de la innovación educativa es una pieza clave para alcanzar la calidad educativa; el 70,37% contestó que NO se ofrece formación a los docentes sobre los métodos innovadores de enseñanza-aprendizaje para alcanzar la calidad educativa; el 100% dijo SI está dispuesto (a) a involucrarse en los procesos de gestión de la innovación de la calidad educativa en la institución para alcanzar la calidad en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Se concluye que la calidad educativa solo es posible si se efectúa un verdadero y profundo cambio en las prácticas de enseñanza aprendizaje y esta labor pasa por la gestión de la innovación escolar entendida como una práctica permanente a lo largo del tiempo, con la mirada puesta en mejorar cada vez más los procesos de aprendizajes de los estudiantes que les permitan desenvolverse con éxito en un entorno dinámico, de cambios veloces y globalizado.Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a gestão da inovação educacional como elemento chave para alcançar a qualidade educacional a partir de uma pesquisa realizada em um centro de ensino na cidade de Guayaquil, no Equador. A metodologia assentou numa abordagem positivista-quantitativa, com um desenho não experimental, descritivo, transeccional, com suporte documental. A amostra foi composta por 27 professores. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, foi utilizado um questionário estruturado por questões fechadas dicotômicas com alternativas de resposta (sim ou não). Os resultados mostram que: 88,89% consideram que na instituição de ensino a gestão diretiva NÃO é realizada na perspetiva de orientar, promover e acompanhar a melhoria do ato educativo; 74,08% acreditam que a gestão da instituição de ensino NÃO promove processos de inovação educacional em busca de uma aprendizagem de qualidade para os alunos dentro e fora da sala de aula; 100% dizem SIM para a necessidade de melhorar a qualidade educacional que é ministrada na instituição de ensino; 96,30% afirmaram que SIM, a gestão da inovação educacional é um elemento chave para alcançar a qualidade educacional; 70,37% refutaram que não é oferecida formação aos professores sobre métodos inovadores de ensino-aprendizagem para atingir a qualidade educacional; 100% afirmam que a SI está disposta a se envolver nos processos de gestão da inovação em qualidade educacional na instituição para alcançar a qualidade no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos.
