Resumo: This is the first lipogrammatic translation of Book V of De aetatibus mundi et hominis, the oldest attestable lipogram. This composition is attributed to Fabius Planciades Fulgentius, better known as Mythographer, who would be an African writer belonging to Late Antiquity, having lived between the 5th and 6th centuries. It should also be noted that the proposed translation text is based on the critical edition established by the Latinist philologist Rudolf Helm (1898). In this fifth section of the work, Fulgentius condemns the sin of envy by poetically describing the biblical narratives of the brothers Esau and Jacob and the sisters Lia and Rachel without using lexical units that present the letter ‘e’, which was maintained in our arrival text.
