Resumo: | This text aims to present the historical path and the actions of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education of Paraná (SBEM-PR) in its 28-year history. The SBEM of Paraná has always maintained its experiences and discussions about the area in line with the national SBEM, aiming to perform a collaborative work in order to involve all those interested in Mathematics Education, in order to promote actions arising from the needs and aspirations of the academic community of mathematics educators. In this text, elements and events that favored the creation of SBEM Paraná are described, such as the direct influence of the national SBEM, and, mainly, the realization of the Paranaense Meeting of Mathematics Education that took place in Curitiba, Paraná, for two years in a row (1989 and 1990), prior to the creation of SBEM-PR (1995). In addition, the Paraná events of Mathematics Education encouraged and supported by the society of Paraná, that consolidate its activities in the region, are presented. |

La SBEM de Paraná siempre ha mantenido sus experiencias y discusiones en el área en línea con las directrices del Consejo Nacional, buscando el trabajo colaborativo con el fin de involucrar a todos los interesados ??en la Educación Matemática y de promover acciones derivadas de las necesidades y deseos de la comunidad de educadores matemáticos. Este texto describe factores que favorecieron la creación de la SBEM de Paraná, como la influencia directa de la SBEM nacional, y principalmente la realización del Encuentro Paranaense de Educación Matemática que tuvo lugar en Curitiba, Paraná, durante dos años consecutivos (1989 y 1990), anterior a la creación oficial de SBEM-PR (1995). Además, son presentados los eventos de Educación Matemática de Paraná, incentivados y apoyados por la sociedad paranaense, que consolidan sus acciones en esta región del país.O presente texto tem como objetivo apresentar o percurso histórico e as ações da Sociedade Brasileira de Educação Matemática do Paraná (SBEM-PR) nos seus 28 anos de história. A SBEM paranaense sempre manteve suas experiências e discussões da área em consonância com as diretrizes da Diretoria Nacional, buscando um trabalho colaborativo no intuito de envolver todos os interessados pela Educação Matemática, de modo a promover ações oriundas das necessidades e anseios da comunidade acadêmica de educadores matemáticos. Neste texto, estão descritos fatores que favoreceram a criação da SBEM paranaense, tais como a influência direta da SBEM nacional, e, principalmente, a realização do Encontro Paranaense de Educação Matemática, que ocorreu em Curitiba, no Paraná, por dois anos consecutivos (1989 e 1990), antecedendo a criação da SBEM-PR (1995).
