Academic Performance in Virtual Learning Environments During Covid-19 Pandemic in Higher Education

The purpose of this document is to analyze the academic performance during Covid 19 pandemic in Higher Education. The scientific literature review (RLC) supports the problem located in different databases. A qualitative design study based on a study case. Sample of 70 public and private institutions, 1200 professors who taught classes in the academic period 2020-2021. Data collection used a validated tool analysing data with frequencies statistics. The results presented refer that the level of high schools and higher education have been working in virtual environments succesfully: 96% accommplish with remote work. Google Classroom is the most used platform. Zoom and WhatsApp represent the main tools of communication. 80% of the contents of the programs were fulfilled. 90% consider that academic performance is subjective. The 90% require developing digital skills. The 95% consider that access to technology is an obstacle to achieving learning. Discussion and conclusions.
