Meanings of Mathematics curricula captured in the training memorials of teachers who teach at EJA in the rural area of Sobral

Resumo: In this article we highlight the teachers of Youth and Adult Education (EJA). We consider them as curriculum producers in Mathematics. We highlight the importance of listening to their narratives for the construction of teaching consistent with the students' realities. We bring discussions from the training memorials of two professors who teach Mathematics in the rural area of ​​Sobral, Ceará. We used the analysis based on studies in the fields of Curriculum and Mathematics Education in EJA. Among the results, we found that teachers were invited to teach in rural areas. They built pedagogical practices considering the cultural aspects of the students and the rural locations where they teach. There is a sense of prescriptive curriculum that guides their actions and intends to homogenize their pedagogical practices. But they elaborate Mathematics classes using activities that value the cultures and differences of the students. Thus, they build senses of curricula as narratives of identities, linked to the rural cultural realities in which they are inserted.

Los consideramos como productores de currículo en Matemáticas. Resaltamos la importancia de escuchar sus narrativas para la construcción de una enseñanza acorde con las realidades de los estudiantes. Traemos discusiones de los memoriales de formación de dos profesores que enseñan Matemáticas en la zona rural de Sobral, Ceará. Se utilizó el análisis basado en estudios en las áreas de Currículo y Educación Matemática en la EJA. Entre los resultados, encontramos que los profesores fueron invitados a enseñar en las zonas rurales. Construyeron prácticas pedagógicas considerando los aspectos culturales de los estudiantes y las localidades rurales donde enseñan. Hay un sentido de currículo prescriptivo que orienta sus acciones y pretende homogeneizar sus prácticas pedagógicas. Pero elaboran clases de Matemáticas utilizando actividades que valoran las culturas y diferencias de los alumnos. Así, construyen sentidos de los currículos como narrativas de identidades, vinculados a las realidades culturales rurales en las que se insertan.Neste artigo, destacamos os docentes da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) como produtores de currículos em Matemática, frisando a relevância da escuta de suas narrativas à construção de um ensino condizente às realidades dos estudantes. Trazemos discussões a partir dos memoriais de formação de dois docentes que lecionam Matemática na zona rural de Sobral, Ceará, analisados à luz de estudos dos campos do Currículo e da Educação Matemática na EJA. Dentre os resultados, verificamos que os professores foram convidados a lecionar na zona rural e constroem práticas pedagógicas considerando os aspectos culturais dos discentes e das localidades rurais em que lecionam.
