What is the psychometric quality of ENEM Chemistry questions? An analysis of items from 2009 to 2019

Resumo: One of the largest large-scale evaluations in the world, the National High School Exam (ENEM) was created to be a tool for evaluating Basic Education. Over the years, among other things, he acquired functions such as serving as a selection test for Higher Education. It is desired that the exam is able to serve its purposes fairly, because it has great potential to influence the lives of its participants. In psychometrics it is said that the tests should present evidence of reliability and validity. The present study shows the results of an analysis of the psychometric quality of chemistry issues of the tests from 2009 to 2019. The ENEM Microdata were examined and, as a synthesis, the items were classified as good, doubtful and bad. As a result, it was found that 84.52% of the chemistry questions were considered as not adequate to measure what is proposed to be measured. Future investigations are recommended to replicate these results and qualitatively evaluate these items

Se desea que el examen sea capaz de servir a sus propósitos de manera justa, porque tiene un gran potencial para influir en la vida de sus participantes. En psicometría se dice que las pruebas deben presentar evidencia de confiabilidad y validez. El presente estudio muestra los resultados de un análisis de la calidad psicométrica de los problemas de química de las pruebas de 2009 y 2019. Se examinaron los microdatos de ENEM y, como síntesis, los ítems se clasificaron como buenos, dudosos y malos. Como resultado, se encontró que el 84,52% de las preguntas de química se consideraron no adecuadas para medir lo que se propone medir. Como resultado constatou-se que 84,52% das questões de Química foram consideradas não adequadas para mensurar aquilo que se propõe a medir.
