Resumo: | Design Thinking (DT) is an active, collaborative and innovative methodology that puts people at the center of solutions. It is a way of thinking and solving problems through empathy, collaboration, prototyping ideas and experimentation. This work aimed to use the methodology (DT) to solve a problem situation related to the reuse of residential organic waste. This problem situation was the starting point for students to significantly build chemical knowledge and arrive at an efficient solution for reusing organic waste produced in homes. As a solution, the students proposed the construction of a school garden and a compost bin to reuse organic waste in the garden itself. It was concluded that the active methodology (DT) favored the active and meaningful construction of chemical concepts, as well as the development of skills and cognitive competencies necessary to solve the problem. |
