Resumo: The article emphasizes the results of a bibliographic research that aims to discuss the work of the pedagogical coordinator within the educational institutions, pointing out its importance for the development of the teaching-learning process. The relevance of this research consists in sensitizing the subjects of educational institutions about the coordinator's role focused on overcoming learning difficulties, as well as on improving pedagogical practices. In the methodology, bibliographical research was used, through the selection of books, works in the annals of events and educational periodicals to develop and support the presented discussions. The results show that the pedagogical coordinator becomes, due to his role and function, a fundamental part in the school environment and, even more so, in the democratic management process in which all agents are involved, each one in his own way and fulfilling his role in a firm and safe manner.

A relevância desta pesquisa consiste em sensibilizar os sujeitos das instituições de ensino sobre o papel do coordenador voltado para a superação das dificuldades de aprendizagem, bem como para a melhoria das práticas pedagógicas. Na metodologia, utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, por meio da seleção de livros, trabalhos em anais de eventos e periódicos educacionais para desenvolver e fundamentar as discussões apresentadas.
