Continuing education and curriculum with a focus on multiculturalism to promote citizenship in Early Childhood Education

Resumo: | The article will propose to develop a study on the importance of the relationship between the organization of the curriculum and the continuing education of the pedagogue as an instrument that makes it possible to carry out work that values cultural diversity in Early Childhood Education. Thus, the objective will be to reflect on a practice that allows offering a teaching that encompasses knowledge linked to ethnic-racial relations, Afro-Brazilian, African and indigenous culture. The methodology will use the qualitative approach and as a methodological procedure the bibliographic review, the case study and the interview. The pedagogue has a unique role when it comes to building the cultural and social development of children, and must articulate the activities with the students' experiences. According to the exposed content, it becomes possible to understand that the value of cultural plurality, the school curriculum and teacher training are fundamental for the teacher to create a practice that encompasses all groups and to reduce the existing indifference in the school environment. |

Assim, o objetivo será refletir acerca de uma prática que permita oferecer um ensino que engloba o saber ligado às relações étnico-raciais, à cultura afro-brasileira, africana e indígena. A metodologia utilizará à abordagem qualitativa e como procedimento metodológico a revisão bibliográfica, o estudo de caso e a realização de entrevista. O pedagogo tem um papel ímpar no momento de construir o desenvolvimento cultural e social das crianças, devendo articular as atividades com as vivências dos estudantes. De acordo com conteúdo exposto, torna-se possível entender que o valor da pluralidade cultural, o currículo escolar e a formação docente são fundamentais para o professor criar uma prática que englobe todos os grupos e a diminuir a indiferença existente no ambiente escolar.
