Resumo: This work discusses the use of concrete poetry in early childhood education, promoting reflections on teaching practices in two early childhood education institutions in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, within the scope of a project called “inter-institutional teaching exchange”. It aims to highlight the potential of concrete poetry in pedagogical work with young children for an aesthetic and sensitive education. The reflections point to the potential of working with concrete poetry in early childhood education, highlighting: the children's interest in the proposed practices; the possibilities of associating this language with other forms of art; and a wealth of possibilities for exploratory, investigative, creative and aesthetic experiences. It concludes that concrete poetry is a viable and adequate possibility of literary work with babies and young children, favoring the promotion of interest in reading and poetry, in addition to providing rich playful, imaginative and creative experiences to children.

Tem como objetivo evidenciar o potencial da poesia concreta no trabalho pedagógico com crianças pequenas para uma educação estética e sensível. As reflexões apontam a potencialidade do trabalho com a poesia concreta na educação infantil, destacando: o interesse das crianças pelas práticas propostas; as possibilidades de associação dessa linguagem com outras formas de arte; e a riqueza de possibilidades de experiências exploratórias, investigativas, criativas e estéticas.
