Ambivalence in evaluations in public competitions for teachers of Geography of the State of Paraná

Resumo: This article discusses the types of evaluations applied in competitions for teachers of basic education in the public network of the State of Paraná, answer the following problem: The evaluation criteria published in the calls for proposals were improved in the selection of data, take into account the knowledge necessary for the exercise of teaching in Geography in basic education? The qualitative research methodology is used as a methodology, with documentary analysis of public tender announcements for the hiring of Geography teachers for basic and high school education, in the light of theoretical approaches that sustain the debate about the qualitative formation and the expected attributes of this professional. As results, it was verified the evaluation weakness of the last four public tenders directed to teachers of Geography of Paraná, since they use instruments, whose criteria do not evaluate the teacher knowledge in a qualitative, integral and complete way.

Se utiliza como metodología la investigación cualitativa, con análisis documental de los edítales de concurso público para la contratación de profesores de Geografía para la educación básica, a la luz de abordajes teóricos que sostienen el debate sobre la formación cualitativa y los atributos esperados de ese profesional. Como resultados, se constató la fragilidad evaluativa de los últimos cuatro concursos públicos dirigidos a los profesores de Geografía del Paraná, una vez que utilizan instrumentos, cuyos criterios no evalúan el saber docente de forma cualitativa, integral y completa.Este artigo debate os tipos de avaliações aplicadas em concursos para professores do ensino básico da rede pública do Estado do Paraná, buscando responder a seguinte problemática: os critérios de avaliação publicados nos editais têm sido eficazes na seleção qualitativa, levando em conta os saberes necessários para o exercício da docência em Geografia no ensino básico? Utiliza-se como metodologia a pesquisa qualitativa, com análise documental dos editais de concurso público para a contratação de professores de Geografia para a educação básica, à luz de abordagens teóricas que sustentam o debate sobre a formação qualitativa e os atributos esperados desse profissional.
