Resumo: | Objective: The objective is to understand how school libraries in Goiânia/GO can contribute to the information literacy process of individuals and, with this, create competences to fight Fake News Methodology: The research method was quanti- qualitative, which seeks to identify schools in Goiânia that have a library, room or reading corner, as well as the training of their respective guardians; also analyze the information obtained from the answers given by the responsible professionals, in order to understand the relevance attributed to informational practices and the role of school libraries in helping the critical education of students and fighting fake news. Results: We noticed the absence of the school library and when there are libraries, there is no structuring of specific actions to fight fake news, but guidelines, when faced with a specific case. Conclusions: In conclusion, given the current scenario, it is essential to implement libraries in schools, along with activities that promote information literacy in the fight against fake news and that rely on librarians, since they are professionals trained to mediate activities within from the library |

Metodología: El método de investigación fue cuanti-cualitativo, que busca identificar escuelas en Goiânia que cuenten con biblioteca, salón o rincón de lectura, así como la formación de sus respectivos tutores; también analizar la información obtenida de las respuestas dadas por los profesionales responsables, con el fin de comprender la relevancia atribuida a las prácticas informativas y el papel ayudante de las bibliotecas escolares en la formación crítica de los estudiantes y en la lucha contra las fake news. Resultados: Notamos la ausencia de la biblioteca escolar y cuando hay bibliotecas, no hay una estructuración de acciones específicas para combatir las fake news, sino pautas, ante un caso específico. Conclusiones: En conclusión, dado el escenario actual, es fundamental implementar bibliotecas en las escuelas, junto con actividades que promuevan la alfabetización informacional en la lucha contra las fake news y que cuenten con los bibliotecarios, ya que son profesionales capacitados para mediar actividades dentro de la biblioteca.Objetivo: O objetivo desta pesquisa é entender como as bibliotecas escolares em Goiânia/GO podem contribuir (ou têm contribuído) para o processo de letramento informacional dos indivíduos e, com isso, criar competências para o combate às fake news. Metodologia: O método de pesquisa foi quanti-qualitativo, buscando identificar quais escolas de Goiânia possuem biblioteca, sala ou cantinho de leitura, bem como a formação dos seus respectivos responsáveis. Também buscou-se analisar as informações obtidas nas respostas dos profissionais responsáveis, a fim de compreender a relevância atribuída às práticas informacionais e ao papel de auxílio das bibliotecas escolares na formação crítica dos estudantes e no combate às fake news. Resultados: Foi constatado que há poucas bibliotecas escolares em Goiânia/GO, e as que existem não contam com uma estruturação de ações específicas de combate às fake news; as orientações ocorrem somente quando se deparam com algum caso específico.
