Resumo: | Based on narratives of English teachers in the city of Parintins-AM, this article aims to problematize issues related to the fact that learning English is crossed by capitalist logic, thus threatening the social right that we all have to Language Education, The methodology for analyzing the words of the teachers participating in this research follows the principles and procedures of Discourse Analysis (ORLANDI, 2013). The results show that, even in the midst of speeches that erased the possibility of displacement of the research participants, they did not listen to opposing voices and found ways to assert their rights. |
