Geometry topics in elementary school: a look at textbook collections guided by the National Curricular Common Base

Resumo: This study sought to analyze how the learning objectives related to the Geometry Thematic Unit, proposed in the document National Curricular Common Base (NCCB), for Primary Education, are arranged in the Textbook collections approved by the Plano Nacional do Livro Didático (National Textbook Plan). For the analysis, the collections "Ápis" and " The Conquest of Mathematics", adopted in the municipal teaching network of Maringá, Paraná, and in the state teaching network of the same state, were selected. A qualitative and documental approach was used in the analyses, using Content Analysis. The results show that the learning objectives proposed by the NCCB in relation to Plane and Space Geometry are explored with greater emphasis in the early years collection compared to the final years collection, when establishing the objects of knowledge for elementary school. This study brings an alert regarding the treatment of Geometry topics listed by the NCCB, as to the skills and abilities and the Learning Objectives, insofar as we highlight a discrepancy in relation to the approach and exploration of the relationships between spatial and plane figures, proposed by the document in the collections analyzed here.

Para los análisis, se seleccionaron las colecciones "Ápis" y "A Conquista da Matemática", adoptadas en la red municipal de enseñanza de la ciudad de Maringá-Paraná, y en la red estatal de enseñanza del mismo estado. Enfoque cualitativo y naturaleza documental, se utilizó el Análisis de Contenido en el análisis. Los resultados revelan que los objetivos de aprendizaje propuestos por el BCNC en relación con la Geometría Plana y Espacial, se exploran con mayor énfasis en la colección de los primeros años em comparación com la colección de los últimos años, al estabelecer los objetos de conocimiento para la educación primaria. Este estudio trae una alerta respecto al tratamiento sobre los temas de Geometría listados por el BCNC, em cuanto las habilidades y destrezas y los Objetivos de Aprendizaje, en la medida en que evidenciamos una discrepancia respecto al abordaje y exploración de las relaciones entre figuras espaciales y planas, propuesto em las colecciones aquí analizadas.Este estudo buscou analisar de que maneira os objetivos de aprendizagem relacionados à Unidade Temática Geometria, propostos no documento Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), para o Ensino Fundamental, estão dispostos nas coleções de Livros Didáticos aprovadas pelo Plano Nacional do Livro Didático. Para as análises foram selecionadas as coleções - “Ápis” e “A Conquista da Matemática”, adotadas na rede municipal de ensino da cidade de Maringá-Paraná, e na rede estadual de ensino do mesmo estado. De abordagem qualitativa e de cunho documental, foi utilizada a Análise de Conteúdo nas análises. Os resultados revelam que os objetivos de aprendizagem propostos pela BNCC em relação à Geometria Plana e Espacial, são explorados com maior ênfase na coleção dos anos iniciais em comparação à coleção dos anos finais, ao estabelecer os objetos de conhecimento para o ensino fundamental.
