Social representation of sustainable school in teachers of basic education

Resumo: We present a qualitative investigation about the representations that teachers of basic education have about the school as a sustainable institution. Data collection took place through a questionnaire applied to a group of 32 teachers. In the treatment of these data, the IRaMuTeQ software indicated for textual content analysis was used. We anchor the reflection on Environmental Education theorists and on Social Representations Theory. The results show that the sustainable school is a social representation present among teachers and is strongly associated with ecotechnics, which are proposed to change school physical spaces aiming at a better relationship with the environment, but also refers to a collaborative, multidisciplinary and dialogic educational practice that can reconfigure the curriculum, and the integration of the school into the community, through participative and democratic management.

La recogida de datos se realizó mediante un cuestionario aplicado a un grupo de 3 profesores. En el tratamiento de estos datos se utilizó el software IRaMuTeQ, indicado para análisis de contenido textual. Anclamos la reflexión sobre los teóricos de la Educación Ambiental y la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales. Los resultados muestran que la escuela sostenible es una representación social presente entre los docentes y está fuertemente asociada a las ecotecnias, que son propuestas para alterar los espacios físicos de la escuela, buscando una mejor relación con el entorno, pero también hacen referencia a una práctica educativa, colaborativa, multidisciplinar y dialógica que pueda reconfigurar el currículo y la integración de la escuela a la comunidad, a través de una gestión democrática participativa.Apresentamos uma investigação qualitativa sobre as representações que professores da educação básica possuem sobre a escola como uma instituição sustentável. A coleta dos dados ocorreu por meio de um questionário aplicado junto a um grupo de 32 professores.  No tratamento desses dados foi utilizado o software IRaMuTeQ indicado para análise de conteúdo textual. Ancoramos a reflexão em teóricos da Educação Ambiental e na Teoria das Representações Sociais.
