Resumo: The study aimed to analyze the evaluative practices of the teaching-learning process in the Physical Education Degree course at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). The methodology is based on qualitative research. The method used for data collection was a semi-structured questionnaire, consisting of eight open and closed questions. Nineteen students from that course contributed as research subjects. The data obtained and analyzed indicate that, for this group of students, assessment is essential in the teaching process and, if used fairly and inclusively, it can contribute to training. Thus, it is concluded that the discussions that involve the theme have contributed for some of the professors to incorporate new concepts and perspectives on the evaluation.

La metodología se basa en la investigación cualitativa. El método utilizado para la recolección de datos fue un cuestionario semiestructurado, compuesto por ocho preguntas abiertas y cerradas. Diecinueve estudiantes de ese curso contribuyeron como sujetos de investigación. Los datos obtenidos y analizados indican que, para este grupo de estudiantes, la evaluación es fundamental en el proceso de enseñanza y, si se utiliza de forma justa e inclusiva, puede contribuir a la formación. Contribuíram, como sujeitos da pesquisa, dezenove discentes do referido curso. Os dados obtidos e analisados apontam que, para esse grupo de discentes, a avaliação é fundamental no processo de ensino e, sendo utilizada de forma justa e inclusiva, pode contribuir para a formação crítica e reflexiva.
