National Curricular Common Base in Early Childhood Education: repercussions on pedagogical practices in a school on the North Coast/RS

Resumo: This article aims to discuss teacher’s perceptions about the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) for Early Childhood Education, understanding the implications of the document for teaching practices. The analytical corpus comprises data from a case study carried out in a public school on the North Coast of Rio Grande do Sul. The work is theoretically based on authors of Early Childhood Education and Curriculum, and in policies and documents that regulate the first stage of Brazilian education. The data analysis is organized in two axes. The first is about teacher’s understandings in relation to BNCC and the curriculum. The second discusses the implications of BNCC in pedagogical practices, indicating the fields of experience as a possibility of valuing everyday life in Early Childhood Education. The results show that a contextual and reflective appropriation of the BNCC can contribute to rethinking the teaching action with the children.

El trabajo se basa teóricamente en autores de Educación Infantil y Currículo, y en políticas y documentos que regulan la primera etapa de la educación brasileña. El análisis de datos se organiza en dos ejes. El primero trata de la comprensión de los docentes sobre la BNCC y el currículo. El segundo discute las implicaciones de la BNCC en las prácticas pedagógicas, señalando los campos de experiencia como posibilidad de valorización del cotidiano. Los resultados muestran que una apropiación contextual y reflexiva de la BNCC puede contribuir a repensar la acción docente con los niños.Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir as percepções das professoras sobre a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) para a Educação Infantil, compreendendo as implicações do documento às práticas docentes. O corpus analítico compreende dados de um estudo de caso realizado em uma escola pública do Litoral Norte do Rio Grande do Sul. O trabalho fundamenta-se teoricamente em autores da Educação Infantil e do Currículo, e em políticas e documentos que normatizam a primeira etapa da educação brasileira. A análise dos dados está organizada em dois eixos. O primeiro versa sobre as compreensões das professoras em relação à BNCC e ao currículo. O segundo discute as implicações da BNCC nas práticas pedagógicas, indicando os campos de experiência como uma possibilidade de valorização do cotidiano na Educação Infantil.
