Reading Carousel: evaluation of a methodology to awaken the pleasure for reading in a public school in Poços de Caldas- MG

Resumo: The article addresses part of a qualitative research, from the implementation of the Reading Carousel pilot project, with a group of students the 4th year of Elementary School I, in a public school in Poços de Caldas- MG. The study investigated whether the contributions to awakening the pleasure for reading in the student reader, based on the Reading Carousel, managed to break with the positivist and mnemonic standard of school reading. The theoretical foundation was based on a multidisciplinary approach and methodologically, action research was found to be an important possibility of effectiveness in the attempt to understand the social, cultural, and educational practices that permeate the reading practice. The results obtained revealed that it is possible to contribute to reading fruition through the Reading Carousel methodology. The intention is to expand the scope of this research with the Reading Carousel Workshop as a proposition for the continuing Education of Kindergarten and Elementary School teachers.

El estudio verificó si las contribuciones para el despertar del gusto por la lectura en el alumno lector, a partir del Carrusel de Lectura, lograron romper con el estándar positivista y mnemotécnico de la lectura escolar. La fundamentación teórica se basó en un enfoque multidisciplinario y metodológicamente, se encontró en la investigación-acción una importante posibilidad de efectivización, en un intento por comprender las prácticas sociales, culturales y educativas que permean la práctica de la lectura. Los resultados obtenidos revelaron que es posible contribuir a la fruición de la lectura mediante la metodología del Carrusel de la Lectura. Se pretende ampliar el alcance de esta investigación con el Taller Carrusel de Lectura como propuesta a la formación contínua de docentes de Educación Inicial y primaria.  O artigo aborda parte de uma pesquisa qualitativa, a partir da implementação do projeto-piloto Carrossel de Leitura, com uma turma de estudantes do 4º ano do Ensino Fundamental I, em uma escola pública de Poços de Caldas- MG. O estudo averiguou se as contribuições para o despertamento do gosto pela leitura no aluno leitor, a partir do Carrossel de Leitura, conseguiram romper com o padrão positivista e mnemônico da leitura escolar. A fundamentação teórica apoiou-se em uma abordagem multidisciplinar e metodologicamente, encontrou-se na pesquisa-ação uma importante possibilidade de efetivação na tentativa de entender as práticas sociais, culturais e educacionais que permeiam a prática da leitura. Os resultados obtidos revelaram ser possível contribuir para a leitura fruição por meio da metodologia do Carrossel de Leitura.
