Resumo: This article investigates the mechanisms of identity construction of the negro on the covers of the albums Thief and Stories of my area of rapper Djonga, verifying how the process of semiotization of the world and the sociodiscursive imaginaries are mobilized by the artist in the resignification of the profile of the young black man, which also function as a counter-argument to stereotyped discourses about this profile and the roles of black people in Brazil. It is hypothesized that the world meaning in the covers dialogues with the purpose of the Hip Hop movement, which questions a pre-established black identity. The methodological theoretical is based on Semiolinguistics, with the concepts of subjects of language, identities, argumentation and image. Given the multimodality of the corpus, we will also use Pierce's sign theory and color studies (GUIMARÃES, 2000).

Se plantea la hipótesis de que el significado del mundo en las portadas dialoga con el propósito del movimiento Hip Hop, que cuestiona una identidad negra preestablecida. El camino teórico metodológico se basa en la Semiolingüística, con los conceptos de sujetos de lenguaje, identidades, argumentación e imagen. Dada la multimodalidad del corpus, también utilizaremos la teoría de signos de Pierce y los estudios de color (GUIMARÃES, 2000).O presente artigo propõe-se a investigar os mecanismos de construção identitária do negro nas capas dos álbuns Ladrão e Histórias da minha área do rapper Djonga, verificando como o processo de semiotização de mundo e os imaginários sociodiscursivos são mobilizados pelo artista na ressignificação do perfil do jovem negro, que funcionam também como uma contra-argumentação a discursos estereotipados acerca desse perfil e dos papéis do negro no Brasil. Parte-se da hipótese de que o mundo significado nas capas dialoga com o propósito do movimento Hip Hop, que questiona uma identidade negra pré-estabelecida. O percurso teórico metodológico tem como base a Semiolinguística, com os conceitos de sujeitos da linguagem, identidades, argumentação e imagem. Dada a multimodalidade do corpus, utilizaremos também a teoria dos signos de Pierce e estudos sobre cor (GUIMARÃES, 2000).
