Permanence and success actions during the covid-19 pandemic period for students of technical high school at IFSC - Florianópolis Campus:

Resumo: Dropping out of school has been a recurrent theme at all levels of education. To face it, many institutions define actions and strategies to promote access and permanence of students in school. In 2019, it has been constituted the Commission for Monitoring the Actions of Permanence and Success of Students, of Departamento Acadêmico de Linguagem, Tecnologia, Educação e Ciência, at Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC), Campus Florianópolis, based on its strategic planning. With the covid-19 pandemic, the actions of this Commission turned exclusively to monitoring the participation of students in the initial semesters of integrated high school in non-face-to-face activities. Thus, this paper aims to report the experience of the above Commission's work in assisting students with difficulties in accessing non-face-to-face activities between 2020 and 2021. The Commission's actions included: survey of students with difficulties, contact with these students and their families and referrals to different situations. Of 752 students enrolled in these semesters, 49 had difficulties, due to lack of equipment, lack of access to the internet, the need for printed material or other specific difficulties. For these situations, guidance was given to students/relatives to obtain Emergency Assistance for Internet access, campaigns for the donation of equipment and preparation of printed material were promoted. Although partially effective, these actions reinforced the need for broader institutional debate and discussion about educational policies.

Para combatirla, las instituciones definieron acciones y estrategias para el acceso y la permanencia de los estudiantes en la escuela. En el Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina, con base en su plan estratégico, fue creada la Comisión de Seguimiento de las Acciones de Permanencia y Éxito de los Estudiantes, del Departamento Acadêmico de Linguagem, Tecnologia, Educação e Ciência, campus Florianópolis en 2019. En virtud de la pandemia del covid-19, las acciones de esa Comisión se dirigieron exclusivamente para el acompañamiento de la participación de estudiantes de fases iniciales de los cursos técnicos integrados en actividades que no son presenciales. Así, este trabajo objetiva reportar la experiencia del trabajo de la Comisión, en el período de 2020 y 2021, en la asistencia a estudiantes con dificultades. Las acciones incluyeron: levantamiento de estudiantes, contacto con estos estudiantes y sus familias y atendimiento a diferentes situaciones. De los 752 alumnos matriculados en estas fases, 49 tuvieron dificultades de acceso por falta de equipamiento, acceso a internet, necesidad de material impreso u otros casos. Para estas situaciones, se realizaron orientaciones a estudiantes y familiares para la obtención de Asistencia de emergencia de acceso a internet, campaña de donación de equipos y preparación de material impreso. Además de efectivas parcialmente, estas acciones refuerzan la necesidad de políticas y discusiones más amplias.A evasão escolar tem sido um tema recorrente na educação em todos os níveis de ensino. Para combatê-la, muitas instituições têm definido ações e estratégias para promover o acesso e a permanência de estudantes na escola. No Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC), com base em seu  plano estratégico,  foi criada, em 2019, a Comissão de Acompanhamento das Ações de Permanência e Êxito dos Estudantes, do Departamento Acadêmico de Linguagem, Tecnologia, Educação e Ciência, Câmpus Florianópolis. Com a pandemia da covid-19, as ações dessa Comissão voltaram-se exclusivamente para o acompanhamento da participação de estudantes das fases iniciais dos cursos técnicos integrados nas atividades não presenciais (ANPs). Assim, este trabalho objetiva relatar a experiência de atuação da Comissão na assistência aos estudantes com dificuldades de acesso às ANPs, entre 2020 e 2021. As ações da Comissão compreenderam: levantamento de estudantes com dificuldades, contato com esses estudantes e familiares e encaminhamentos para diferentes situações. De 752 estudantes matriculados nessas fases, 49 apresentaram dificuldades, seja por falta de equipamentos e/ou acesso à internet, seja por necessidade de material impresso ou dificuldades mais específicas. Para essas situações, foram realizadas orientações a estudantes/familiares para a obtenção do Auxílio Emergencial de acesso à Internet, campanhas de doação de equipamentos e preparação de material impresso.
