GEOGRAPHY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL: A REVIEW STUDY

Resumo: This research sought to answer the following guiding question: what do the researches indicate about the Brazilian academic production on the teaching of Geography and Environmental Education (EA) in High School, from the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD)? For that, a systematic review research was carried out in the BDTD from 1967 to 2019. The analysis was carried out with the help of the ATLAS.ti software from the coding cycles proposed by Saldaña (2013). Research shows that, even in an incipient way, EE is being developed in Geography classes, concomitantly with the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. One can see the concentration of research in the Southeast and South regions, as well as the growing academic production in this field in the last decade.

Para eso, se realizó una investigación de revisión sistemática en la BDTD desde 1967 hasta 2019. El análisis se realizó con la ayuda del software ATLAS.ti a partir de los ciclos de codificación propuestos por Saldaña (2013). Las investigaciones muestran que, aunque de forma incipiente, la EA se está desarrollando en las clases de Geografía, concomitantemente con las disciplinas de Biología, Química y Física. Se puede ver la concentración de investigaciones en las regiones Sudeste y Sur, así como la creciente producción académica en este campo en la última década.Esta pesquisa buscou responder à seguinte questão norteadora: o que as pesquisas apontam a respeito da produção acadêmica brasileira sobre o ensino de Geografia e Educação Ambiental (EA) no Ensino Médio, a partir da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD)? Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa do tipo revisão sistemática na BDTD de 1967 a 2019. A análise foi empreendida com o auxílio do softwareATLAS.ti a partir dos ciclos de codificação propostos por Saldaña (2013). As pesquisas apontam que, ainda de forma incipiente, a EA está sendo desenvolvida nas aulas de Geografia, concomitante às disciplinas Biologia, Química e Física.
