Estudos da Tradução e Interpretação de Línguas de Sinais em publicações internacionais: métodos de pesquisa em destaque

Resumo: This paper examines the methods used in research on Educational Interpretation in Sign Language, from 1990 to 2020 (three decades), based on publications from international scientific journals that disseminate the production of the main institutions linked to Studies on Deaf Education and Sign Language Linguistics. Bibliometric analysis was adopted as the research methodology, and from there we present the results considering the publications by the research methods used in 38 articles that discuss educational interpretation. We found a significant difference in the volume of publications depending on the journal. Research on educational interpreting predominates in journals in the field of Education, impacting considerably on the ways of doing research. We identifying modes of research and theoretical affiliation trends, especially the case study method, associated with data collection tools such as interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The use of technological resources for data recording stood out. There is a lack of detail on the part of the researchers in describing the methodological path taken in their research, which makes it impossible to have a wide scientific dissemination.

There is a lack of detail on the part of the researchers in describing the methodological path taken in their research, which makes it impossible to have a wide scientific dissemination.O presente trabalho analisa os métodos utilizados em pesquisas sobre a Interpretação Educacional em Língua de Sinais, no período de 1990 a 2020 (três décadas), com base em publicações de periódicos científicos internacionais que divulgam a produção ligada aos Estudos da Tradução e Estudos da Interpretação, Estudos sobre Educação de Surdos e Linguística das línguas de sinais. Adotou-se como metodologia de pesquisa a análise bibliométrica e, a partir dela, apresentamos os resultados considerando os métodos de pesquisas utilizados em 38 artigos que discutem a interpretação educacional. Constatamos uma diferença significativa no volume de publicações a depender do periódico. Predominam as investigações sobre o intérprete educacional em revistas do campo da Educação, impactando consideravelmente nos modos de fazer a pesquisa. Se identifica o emprego de um amplo leque de aparatos teórico-metodológicos, sobressaindo o método do estudo de caso, associado a instrumentos de coleta de dados, como as entrevistas, observação e questionários. O uso de recursos tecnológicos para registro dos dados se destacou.
