Resumo: This article aims to analyze the teaching of environmental education from the elementary school textbook of a public school in/in the state of Ceará.We understand that environmental education is one of the essential instruments for the construction of devices to fight social and environmental conflicts that penalize traditional populations for preserving nature. Therefore, qualitative research and exploratory study were used as a methodological procedure. There is a need to build education that sensitizes students to the development of attitudes that are committed to preserving nature while understanding its ecological role.

Entendemos que la educación ambiental es uno de los instrumentos esenciales para la construcción de dispositivos para combatir los conflictos sociales y ambientales que penalizan a las poblaciones tradicionales por preservar la naturaleza. Por tanto, se utilizó como procedimiento metodológico la investigación cualitativa y el estudio exploratorio. Es necesario construir una educación que sensibilice a los estudiantes sobre el desarrollo de actitudes comprometidas con la preservación de la naturaleza y la comprensión de su función ecológica.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar o ensino de educação ambiental do livro didático do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública do/no estado do Ceará. Entendemos que a educação ambiental é um dos instrumentos essenciais para a construção de dispositivos de combate aos conflitos socioambientais que penalizam as populações tradicionais por preservar a natureza. Para tanto, utilizou-se a pesquisa de natureza qualitativa e o estudo exploratório como procedimento metodológico.
